Make It Easy For Affiliates To Promote You

 

A couple of people inside my Facebook group mentioned affiliate programs recently. Above is a really nice comment I got from on my affiliates. My answer to her was: “Thank you! It’s mostly because I don’t do the work…I just take the glory in telling you about it! “

But it's all VERY intentional.

If you want to have a successful affiliate program, you have to make it EASY for them to promote you.

For me, that means: Giving them a heads up about promotions. Even though lots of online business owners fly by the seat of their pants, many plan ahead.

We personally have a calendar that is accessible to my affiliates at any time, so they can see exactly what's coming up providing all the information they need to promote our products, tell them about all the products in the funnel, copy/paste promotions, the pricing and anything else they need to promote. 

Many will write their own, but when you give them the copy and paste text, they can easily schedule all those promotions. They might use them for inspiration, edit or send it exactly as is, it doesn't matter. We give them a promotion for each day of the launch and more emails means more money as there is more than one way to promote.

Some affiliates are all about Earnings Per Click (EPC) and will promote the links with the most earnings per click (your sales page). Many affiliates have large audiences but are a little less aggressive in their promotions. If they want to promote a free offer, we always give something free that leads to a funnel. Plus the bonus is, our affiliates grow our list for us. 

Evergreen promotions.

Instead of just going launch to launch, become a source your affiliates can go to whenever they need a great promotion to send out.

Once our launches are done, we update our Joint Venture (JV) pages and offers to create an evergreen affiliate center with tons of stuff to promote.

And it IS a lot of work, especially when you run 3 or more launches a month like I do. Of course you can do fewer launches and dedicate more effort into them, but either way, having a team to get most of it ready for you ensures that you stay on schedule and have all this great stuff to help your affiliates make money.

An affiliate program is such a great investment for your business, but that's what it is, an investment. Whether it's time, your money or both, it's definitely worth it.
