You know we LOVE creating tons of journals, planners and other high value content for you at Publish for Prosperity. And there's good reason for that. This is the kind of content that can really boost your business, if you use it wisely. 

The are a lot of reasons this kind of content is so valuable to both you and your customers. Just a few of those reasons include:

  • They're tangible. People love to be able to have something in their hand…or like the thought of having them in their hands, even if they download them and never end up printing them.
  • They're action-oriented. If you give out printables journals, they not only give your customer or subscriber information…but they allow them to take action and work toward their goals.
  • They stand out. In a digital world where everyone claims to have the advice to solve a problem with an ebook, report or article, offering journals and planners helps you stand out.
  • And people just freaking love planners and journals. Perhaps the most important reason of all. This is the kind of content people LOVE.

So how do you use them in your business? Let me count the ways (or at least some of them...I don't think we have enough time to go through them all)...

Incorporating Journals and Planner into Your Marketing and Customer Satisfaction Plan

Whether you offer your journals and planners in digital or printable format, there is so much you can do with them. You can use them to generate sales, grow your traffic and build your mailing list. I'd recommend doing a little bit of everything. Of course, don't do it all at once.

Implement, see your results and tweak. Then add ideas as you go. 

  • Create opt-in offers to grow your list. Have the opt-in for a journal or planner...they get awesome content and you get a new subscriber and potential customer. If you have a course or other complementary product to the free planner or journal, be sure to make a special offer to your new subscribers, so they turn into customers quickly. 
  • Add them to your courses. What a great way to instantly boost the value of your course with actionable content. A journal or planner makes it much easier for your customers to implement what they learn and get results. And remember, the more results your customers have...the more testimonials you have, which brings in more business. 
  • Have them printed and bound as gifts for your best clients. What a great surprise gift for your best clients or other business connections. Never underestimate the power of a thoughtful gift when it comes to generating more business and word of mouth. And heck, don't be shy in the card you include with your gift. Tell them how much you appreciate their business, that they're one of your favorite clients and if they know other awesome people like themselves who could use your services, they should feel free to send them your way. 
  • Sell the printed or digital versions on Amazon, Etsy, or other online platforms. Journals and planners are products in themselves, so take advantage of the built in audiences of these large platforms. Have a look at what's already selling well to see how you can tap into this potential cash flow. 
  • Use them as unadvertised bonuses. What a great surprise download for your customers. Set up an autoresponder message a few days after they buy your product, inviting them to download their bonus journal or planner. 
  • Ask other product or course sellers to use them as bonuses. Keep an eye out for other product sellers who sell products on a similar to your journal or planner. Ask if they'd like to offer your product as free bonus to their customers. Just give a 100% off coupon, so those customers can claim their bonus AND get them onto your customer list a the same time. 
  • Keep an eye out for contests, group sales or other opportunities to contribute your awesome content. Anytime someone asks if you can contribute to their sale or contest, say YES ABSOLUTELY! It's great extra exposure and generally, the participants will need to register at your site to get their gift or prize. 
  • Use them to generate new course ideas. If you're using our planners or journals with private label rights (or from another awesome PLR Sellers), take a look at the topics and see if you can generate a course around that very topic. 
  • Give them as a free gift for webinar attendance. If you run sales or other webinars, you know the importance of having a live audience. Live attendees are more likely to buy or take action, so offer them a journal or planner for being there.
  • Host in-person workshops (or online). Teach people to journal or plan with an in-person or online workshop. The benefits of journaling and planning are immense, so show your attendees how to get results.  
  • Try a free with shipping offer. One great way to get people on a customer list is to offer a free + shipping offer. They are attracted by the free offer, but are also a valuable paying customer who is more likely to purchase more higher priced products.

How to Grow Your Mailing List with (Private Label Rights (PLR) Content

My 8 favorite ways to use PLR/free opt-in offers to grow my list. BTW - you can 100% do all these things with our PLR as we allow you to share the content with your affiliates.

Not all PLR sellers do offer this, so check first.

#1 - Share it on social media. Use different snippets and vary your angles, but it's easy to share free offers over and over again on social media. Now, you won't always put a link to your opt-in offer because that's overkill on social media and can kill your engagement on platforms like Facebook. But you can mention it's a snippet from a 4-part ecourse. You can put the link into a comment. Or sometimes you just let the content sit there because the more you engage your audience with awesome stuff, the more they're going to come back for more.

#2 - Get your affiliates to promote it, using their affiliate link. You can offer a pay-per-lead commission AND/OR give them a commission on your back end offers. This is personally my BIGGEST list builder. You know all the free PLR you see me giving away? I do that to make customers like you happy AND to promote my paid products, but it's also for my affiliates. If they can promote something free AND make money, they're going to be all over that.

#3 - Set up a retargeting ad campaign on Facebook, so you can get people who visited your site before to opt-in. This one works quite well, especially if you've created the follow up funnel, so you can turn those new opt-ins into customers quickly.

#4 - Make a quick video to promote your free offer on YouTube and send them to your opt-in page. Do the same with the social media tip. Use different snippets and angles to create multiple videos. The more content you have, the bigger your potential reach. And it's easy to link to your free offer using YouTube. You can do it right in the video and the description. Your affiliates can also embed your videos and so can anyone else who thinks it's awesome content.

#5 - Ask your subscribers and followers to share your freebie. Often times, your subscribers will be willing to share something as goodwill toward their fellow humans. But you can even provide an incentive for them to do so. Give them a coupon, have them join your affiliate program, etc. I often end a lot of emails, asking people to share with their like-minded friends and sometimes I direct them to my affiliate program.

#6 - Partner with other publishers and swap opt-in promos. Lots of online business owners will share if you share them...form those alliances. It helps if you can offer commissions for sales, but many will do a straight swap if you're also willing to do so.

#7 - Write guest blog posts on other relevant blogs and invite blog readers to sign up for your awesome freebie. You can also use this strategy for your affiliate program where you create blog posts for your affiliates to insert their affiliate link to. They get great content for their audience and you both make money. Win-win!

#8 - Get interviewed on websites, podcasts, etc. Get out there and get known! Tapping into other people's existing audiences is one of the easiest ways to grow your reach. There are lots of podcasts or people going live on social media. Connect with them and grow your audience. Plus, these become fabulous pieces of content that you can share with your audience to promote your free offer even further.

​Content Repurposing Motivation with Example

Whenever I make a piece of content, I immediately distribute it further and often quickly repurpose into something else. OR I delegate the responsibility to someone else, so I don't forget.

Let me show you what I mean by example...

  1. ​I had a customer who wanted help with something. I said okay, let's talk on a Facebook Live, so my members can benefit too.
  2. The live video takes place in our Facebook Group, so my members can watch me wrestle with technology again haha...and can benefit from the chat as well. If you're going to watch it, start at the 4:57 mark to skip the fluff. 
  3. ​We cut the technology wrestling part out and posted it to YouTube.
  4. ​That YouTube video is also being added to our Insider's Club members area.
  5. I made a quick clip from the video that I thought had a pretty important point. I added some text to the video to grab some attention and posted it to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. You can see a screenshot below and the Instagram post directly right here.

And bonus tip: In the Instagram post, I tagged my personal account and set the location of the post as my business, so the content is shown on my profile and for my business name. 

There's potential for several other clips as well, but I think that's good for one day. I'll just take some notes on the other clips and hire someone to do the rest if I decide to move forward.

​It's THAT simple. A customer asks for help and I've got TONS of content.

But there are so many opportunities to repurpose content in your day. Here are just a few:

  • Break up a report into articles or snippets. Add them to your blog and social media.
  • Use your social media quotes graphics in your newsletters, books and relevant blog posts.
  • Bundle up articles into reports or create an autoresponder series.
  • Find quotes from articles and reports that you can turn into graphics.
  • Publish all your content across a variety of platforms and remember to leverage fully and share those links frequently.

  • Give a limited time coupon or special offer
  • Set up a paid webinar/class/coaching program that you can take $ for now and create as you go.
  • Contact your existing and previous clients to see if they need help with anything

  • Offer a $1 or free trial for your membership to drum up those recurring sales

Need some money today? I don't think you have any excuses.

3. Choose One Connect with Your Audience Task:

  • Write guest blog posts on other relevant blogs and invite blog readers to sign up for your awesome freebie.
  • Provide useful commentary on blogs and news sites. Include a link to your opt-in page in the appropriate space. Don’t link to your site in the body of your comment.
  • Distribute press releases online and to other online and offline media.
  • Have a sweepstakes or giveaway on your site with a cool prize. Encourage entrants to claim their free gift and subscribe to your mailing list.
  • Get interviewed on websites, podcasts, etc. Get out there and get known!

The Incredible Power of Emotions in Your Content Marketing

How to Leverage the Incredible Power of Emotions in Your Content Marketing

If your content isn't getting the traction you want, always remember to tap into your audience's emotions.

Make them laugh.

Make them cry.

Make them mad (but in most cases, make sure you stay the good guy).

Inspire them to do something great, right then and then. 

Make them FEEL something.

So even if you publish a lot of how to stuff, think of how you can add emotion. Share stories, add quotations, make jokes, use photos...do what you need to in order to make them FEEL.

Implementation: New and Existing Content

Moving forward, always keep in mind how you can use emotions in your content. This is particularly effective in your emails, social media posts and blog posts. It can be something as simple as adding a quotation or story...or even a photograph that conveys an emotion. 

But also review your past content as this is a great way to repurpose and breath new life into old content. Once you've updated it, share it again with your subscribers, followers, etc.

  • Anything that shows that journaling is a path to healing deep wounds. It can make bring us clarity, help us work through difficult situations and even brings us pure happiness and joy.

How to Repurpose Articles into Highly Engaging Social Media Content

How to Repurpose Articles into Highly Engaging Social Media Content

As you may have noticed, it's harder to get engagement on posts that are links on Facebook. Unless you pay to boost it, of course. Grrr...Facebook.

You also can't post links on Instagram.

Twitter seems to be okay with links and that's a good thing because the limited text space makes it hard to fully implement what I'm suggesting.

Anyway, we've been creating social media content from our articles with some nice results and you can see some examples at the bottom of this post.

1. Make an image that is reflective of the article and also includes some text that draws the eye in and gives the viewer an idea there is more to read.

2. Instead of linking to the article, add the edited article text to your post. I usually add a more friendly first line that grabs attention before leading into the article.

3. You can do this with any article, but anything with stories (think your success stories, case studies, even stories of trouble)...is more likely share worthy, so this will give your your content more traction.

4. For Facebook, I may add the link to the article in the comment if there's more info on the page or a video to watch, etc. On Instagram, I do create a short link that has just one word in the URL so people can type it in if they want. And they do, because I'm tracking the clicks. So a link like my domain. com/story for example.

Of course, mix it up and sometimes post the link and sometimes do it this way...but it's a great opportunity to get the article seen again and to get it shared more readily.

Here are a couple recent images I've made for this purpose. They are NOT pretty, I know...but I think they catch the eye. If your image is more aesthetic, then by all means, design something pretty. Just make sure it includes the text to get attention. Oh and of course, I'd also text without an image on Facebook because you never know what they'll respond to.

It's an easy way to keep that content you've already worked hard on (or paid good money for!) working for you.

How to Use Inspirational Quotes and Tips Graphics to Grow Your Business

As you probably know, many of our done-for-you content packages include handy social media graphics with inspirational quotes and tips. Here are a few as an example…

But what can you do with these quotes graphics and how can you use them to grow your business? Here are a few ideas for you.

Start by branding them with your logo or URL

If you're using a URL to a specific offer or page, make sure to make it as short a link as possible. BUT don't use bit.ly or anything like that. Shorten the link on your own domain. If your domain is long, consider a catchy short domain that your followers will recognize as yours.

Post and schedule them to social media

You can use a scheduling tool like Hootsuite or Buffer...and reshare the images every month or so. Hootsuite has a bulk scheduling tool to make this easy. Include a relevant description with your image that inspires them to get a free and opt-in or something you think they can't wait to take action on.

Add the images to all kinds of content

Images catch the eye and the thought-provoking quotes, make your audience think. Add them to your blog posts, reports, membership site and more.

Create a blog post, podcast or video around the quote

If there's a quote that particularly resonates with you, there's fodder for a great piece of content for your audience.

Make a video out of the images

Put together some of your favorites, include music and maybe even a bit of commentary. Here’s a quick video to show you how to easily create this type of video.

BONUS TRAFFIC TIP

Use hashtags and tag the person (where applicable) who the quote is from. This can be a decent traffic boost, particularly on networks where hashtags matter like Instagram and Twitter.

Private Label Rights Articles

Articles with private label rights are a great time saver, but if you’re going to buy them, it’s best to have a plan to use them to their maximum benefit. You need to have a traffic plan AND a monetization plan, so they grow your business.

This article includes ideas for all of that. Let’s get started with those ideas...

Add the articles to your blog.

You can do this manually or bulk upload text files to WordPress with a number of tools, including Speedy APLC Publisher.

Get automated traffic to your articles.

Make sure add links to these articles in your autoresponder and your social media (you can schedule those using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer), so you have a continuous stream of traffic. Optimize the articles using a plugin like Yoast SEO to optimize your articles for search engine traffic. There's no point in posting these articles if they're not going to be seen.

Monetize those articles.

You can do it the easy way by inserting Google AdSense code. My favorite is make recommendations for your products or those you promote as an affiliate. I always end my articles with nice big subtitle:

"What To Do Next: (Example..."Get the Templates to Make This Super Simple")

...and then I end with a paragraph and a link that explains the offer. Content is a GREAT product seller. Use it to your advantage.

Add the articles to Facebook's Instant Articles.

LinkedIn also makes it easy to post articles. In this case, instead of promoting a product, I'd more likely send them to a link to grab a freebie, so I can put them on my mailing list and stay in touch with them via email. Plus, a free offer is a much easier sell through social media.

Bundle up the articles into reports.

Put a bunch of articles on the same topic into a report and use them for an opt-in, add them to your membership area and more. Use the same strategy for monetization with the "What To Do Next" technique.

You can have one main product recommendation for the report and in that case, place the recommendation in the introduction and conclusion of your report...or you can put recommendations at the end of each article.

Make audio recordings of the articles.

Put the audio version on your article page. Turn them into mini podcasts and more. You can also include product promos in your audios.

Turn the audio recordings into videos.

Just grab the audio, make some slides and you're good to go. Or record them as talking head video or have someone record you while you're walking to create some visual interest.

Again, product promos can go here. It's best if it's a recommendation for you as people are more likely to take action, but you can also pre-record a series of commercials that you insert in your videos as you make them.

Just a few ideas to use these articles to the fullest. Now you don't have to do everything at once, but as you can see, there are pretty much endless options for you to keep monetizing and growing traffic. And hey, remember, this is perfect work for a virtual assistant to do for you.
